Maintaining proper inventory control is an integral part of a successful operation. By implementing an
efficient and cost-effective inventory
control system, you can minimize food and beverage costs,
thereby increasing your profitability.

There are two basic ways of conducting inventory, Periodic, and Perpetual.

Periodic Inventory
Performed twice in any given period with two levels: an opening inventory, and a closing inventory. At the end
of the inventory period, the difference between the Opening and Closing inventory levels are matched against
the sales reports.

PixelPoint comes standard with many inventory features, which allows you to track product sales, product
usage, and inventory usage, by allowing the operator to build recipes for any product. With these standard features, the operator does not need to input purchases as they are received, as you would in a perpetual
inventory environment, and continue to be able to retrieve reports that reveal food or beverage costs, products
sold, or inventory used, between any date range.

Perpetual Inventory
A system tracks usage, purchases, shrinkage, and maintains inventory levels constantly. This system is
critical in environments that demand scrutiny to reduce overall food and beverage costs.

PixelPoint StockBoy is a 32-bit inventory manager that monitors and manages the flow of “raw materials” in PixelPoint. From automated re-order reports, to support for weighed items to multi-warehouse management, PixelPoint can help you drive down food and beverage costs by helping you create a fully perpetual inventory environment. With StockBoy, you can maintain proper, up-to-date costs per unit for real profit analysis.
